About College:

The longest journey starts with the all important and crucial first step. M.C.E. Society’s  M. A Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Pune is dedicated to the cherished memory of Mr. Mohammed Ali Rangoonwala, a great social worker and philanthropist .

The M.A. Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, Pune has been established by the Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society, Pune in the year 2001 as an undergraduate college offering the BDS degree.  The institute has progressed to offering a post graduate degree and has now successfully been running its MDS programme for the past 8 years in over 7 specialties.

The institute has always aimed to equip all its students with knowledge that keeps them two steps ahead in their profession, hence maintains extensive state of the art facilities. It also continuously adds to its pedagogy new courses that are relevant to current trends in the dental surgery field.

The foundation stone of the college was laid on 21st November 1998 at the hands of Mrs Banobai Rangoonwala and Mr.Asif Rangoonwala. Meticulous planning and execution with swiftness and precision by Mr. P. A. Inamdar , President M.C.E. Society, made e Mr. Rangoonwala’s dream a reality and the M. A. Rangoonwala Dental college was inaugurated on 11th November 2001 by Mrs. Banobai Rangoonwala and Mr. Asif Rangoonwala at a function presided over by Hon’ble .Digvijay Khanvilkar, Health Minister of Maharashtra.

Apart from this, the college also conducts other educational programmes under the expertise of International and National faculty such as Diploma in Dental laser in coordination with Society Of Laser Application (SOLA) and collaboration with faculty from university of Vienna, Austria & Clinical Comprehensive course in Maxillofacial Rehabilitation in Collaboration with IMPT, UK . 

The faculty is equally zealous and has brought glory to the college with various paper presentations and publications at both the national and international levels.

Another important landmark for our institute was the launch of our  Journal i.e. Universal Research Journal of Dentistry (URJD). The first issue of this journal was released on 19th September, 2011 by Col.Dr. S.K.Ojha (Retd) , Secretary Dental council of India at a formal function.

Hospital Stats:

College is having a full furnished hospital. The patients are treated with updated techniques & medicines. It provide such education to younger aspirants to be able to face the challenges of 21st Century.
