Direct Admission Through Management Quota in MD - Radio Diagnosis/Radiology in Top medical colleges of Maharashtra & Karnataka.
M.D.(Radio Diagnosis/Radiology) - Stands for Doctor of Medicine in Radio Diagnosis/Radiology. Typically, M.D.(Radio Diagnosis/Radiology) is a three year course, minimum eligibility for which is a M.B.B.S with 1 year compulsory internship. Radiology is a division of medicine, which uses imaging technologies such as x-rays, MRIs and CT scans for diagnosing as well as treating diseases.
Objectives
On contribute of the three-year MD Radiodiagnosis residency programme, the resident will be:
- Clinically sound, skilled, creative and competent to independently perform and interpret all kinds of radiological investigation and imaging studies.
- Full aware of the radiological hazards and competent enough to minimize and prevent the risk associated with conducting radiological investigations and imaging studies.
- Capable of providing leadership in the field radiology.
Basic Eligibility
- For admission into master’s degree a student must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant field from any recognized institute/university. The duration for master’s degree program is 2 years.
- The candidate must secure 50% marks separately in each paper to be eligible to be placed in the merit list.
- Admission of students will be done strictly on merit basis.
- Up to 50% of the seats can be made available to the candidate nominated by the Ministry of Health, HMG However such nominated candidates will be required to appear in the entrance examination and secure at least 50% of marks in each paper to qualify to enter the course. (In case the candidate nominated by Ministry of Health do not become eligible for admission the seats vacated will be given to eligible atlemate candidate from the free competition section.).
- Candidate registered for the course will not be allowed to enter other post graduate programe till the completion of the course. Otherwise she/he will have to vacute the MD (Radiodiagnosis) seat.

Salary Expected:
Medical doctors in this field can expect a salary starting from Rs.6,000 to Rs.8,000 per month for those working in government sector. For those who are working as X-ray technicians the remuneration various from Rs 5000 to Rs 8000 per month. For junior level therapists the average salary starts from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 per month. On the other hand jobs in private sector are more lucrative. However, it’s significant to note that with experience and skills, a candidate can easily reach higher levels.
