About College:

The Sharavathi Dental College and Hospital came into being the under the Sharavathi Education Trust at Shimoga in 1992 and is approved by Dental Council of India.

Leaders and educationalists of the District came together and formed this trust with the objective to fulfill the dreams of people of Shimoga to have a comprehensive health education institute in the city. The Government of Karnataka permitted the Trust to inaugurate the Sharavathi Dental College & Hospital and consequently, schools of paramedics and nursing, which, under the trust have reached the heights of medical excellence.

The Sharavathi group of institutions has flourished under the able administration of our chairperson & managing trustees:

• Chairman & Managing trustee: Shri S. Madhu Bangarappa.
• Trust members: Shri Bhimanna T. Naik, Shri J.Chandrashekarappa.

Library is very well ventilated, spacious, and enjoys natural lighting. We have reading and reference sections with seating capacity as per the norms of Dental Council of India and Rajiv Gandhi university of Health Sciences. 

The college provides comfortable and pleasant stay for its students and faculty. Architectural excellence can be felt at student hostels and staff quarters inside the college campus. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. Medical supervisor is available at call to provide any medical aid required for the residents of the hostel.In short, the students feel the care and comfort while staying in the hostels. It is the kind of home feeling for students.
