The vision was to train a new creed of competent medical professionals who would also be educated in the principals of selfless service and dedication to the greater good. With this motto, the foundation stone for SMBT Group of Institutes was laid in 2007. The SMBT Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, in Igatpuri, Maharashtra is the newest step taken towards fulfilling that dream.

The SMBT medical college conducts four-year undergraduate course in Bachelor Medicine & Bachelor Surgeon (MBBS) recognized by Medical Council of India, New Delhi & affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. The development activity of medical division is supervised & regularized by Dr. Vidya P. Paranjape, Dean having 21 years of qualitative experience in the medical sphere.

For equitable distribution of superior health services, we have uniquely located ourselves in craggy, tropical mountainous area where most of the population is tribal and unaware of the modern advancement in medicine. Our super specialty 300 bedded Hospital came into existence on August 2012, and we are planning to add up to 400 more beds in coming years.
