About College:

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed  University Medical College, Sangli was established in 2005 and presently admitting 150 students per year with UG MCI approval. In 2011 the college was permitted to start PG courses in 7(seven) subjects.  

The college is having spacious 2 lakh sq.ft. aera and 3 lakh sq.ft. area for the hospital. The institute with its well equipped laboratories and state-of-art museums is rapidly becoming centre for academic excellence and service to the people of Sangli and surrounding district , as a part of it regular camps are held and patients are treated free of charge in the hospital. The college has well organized teaching curriculum incorporating futuristic methods (like Computer Assisted Training, Integrated Seminars etc.) with clinical teaching and social dimension. With excellent and highly qualified dedicated staff and advanced equipments the college ensures training, keeping pace with the development of science. Many of the staff members have participated at national and international conferences & Seminars etc. Some of them are also felicitated by national awards and international honours With the hostel facility to accommodate more than 244 boys and 244 girl students, the campus becomes complete with facilities for recreation & physical fitness

Hospital Stats:

Bharati Hospital is an attached teaching hospital of Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College Sangli. It is a well known centre of clinical excellence located in the same premises. It is 500 bedded multi-speciality, tertiary care hospital providing modern diagnostic as well as therapeutic facilities. Housed in a well planned multi-storeyed building, it caters to the immediate vicinity area of 75 sq. km and caters to a population of 2,00,000 - 2,50,000 people around it in rural area.

The hospital provides 24 hour emergency central casualty services. All facilities are available for basic life support and resuscitation. The wards and OPDs are well equipped with all facilities for teaching, training and patient care.

All the clinical departments are located in the hospital.

The administrative sections and record rooms are fully automated. Radiology and Orthopaedics departments are linked with computer retrieval systems. The central clinical Laboratories of Hospital are well equipped with latest instruments like Fully Automated analyzers, ABG Machines, Haematology counters etc.
