Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) was established in the year 1986 at BG Nagar, near Sri Adichunchanagiri Kshetra with a vision of providing medical education to aspiring students from rural areas.
AIMS was inaugurated by the then Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Ramakrishna Hegde on 17th Jan 1986 in the holy presence of Padmabhushana Dr. Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji. AIMS has evolved into a prestigious institution in the region since its inception.
AIMS is housed in a unitary campus near the teaching hospital and has room for future expansion. The buildings are well-constructed with good ventilation and comfortable seating arrangements. The laboratories are constructed with sufficient space and contain modern equipment for conducting medical research.
Accommodation is provided for the Principal/Dean’s Office, Staff Room, College Council Room, Office Superintendent Room, Office, Record Room, Examination Hall, separate common room for male and female students with attached toilets and cafeteria.
AIMS has adequate lecture theatres to accommodate sufficient number of students and is equipped with good acoustics, independent audio visual aids including LCD projectors, Speakers and a microphone.
Separate Hostels for Boys & Girls are provided in AIMS Campus at BG Nagara.Post Graduate Hostel for Men and Women is situated in the College Campus adjoining to the Teaching Hospital.Walkable distance distance from the College & Hospital:
